Dubstep
The most pointless form of music known to man that I hope to god is just a fad. I don't really care if it takes alot of technical ability to make Dubstep because it's still fucking awful. Just because something takes alot of effort to make doesn't mean it's worthwhile in any way shape or form. Music is a beautiful artform and it's being desecrated by this shoddy bollocks that people are pumping into the music industry. Whether it be modern pop or dubstep there's so much shite cluttering up society music wise it almost makes you sick to be a massive fan of music. "Dubstep - It's so filthy, it's shit."

You're over opinionated and too sure of yourself. Biased through not only your social circles but your family; your entire upbringing.
ReplyDeleteYou study music. Fantastic. In no way or form does that make you an expert, multiplied by the fact your opinion is most likely contested 10:1. You might as well give in and accept that music tastes are shifting, fast.
The trouble with people who think they are 'in to music' or generally music orientated is that their opinion is so strong of what good music is, they are blinded.
Music is where the money is, no one gives a fuck about indy any more. Oh sorry no, the other half of teen girls that agree with you on Bieber enjoy indy. Once you get bored of the 'stick it to the man' attitude, you embrace consumerism.
Don't get stuck in a time warp of stubbornness, you'll wither and die.
Dubstep isn't bollocks. You just don't like it.
You have no idea what your talking about.
ReplyDeleteIn response to the comment above, you're right, music is changing. It constantly shifts and changes and I already know that but it doesn't mean I have to accept the music that it can sometimes shift and change into.
ReplyDeleteAlso I don't have a "stick it too the man" attitude I just think it's depressing that music's worth is decided by whether or not it will make money. I know this is inevitable and will always happen but yet again it is something I don't have to accept.
Although this post wasn't a particularly clever or thought out one, wouldn't you say if you didn't like something you'd call it shit or bollocks? You wouldn't say "I don't like this but alot of other people do, therefore I must be wrong." Alot of people believe alot of things and yes my opinion isn't fact, but I can still voice it.
It's because of people like you that the majority of people now download music and the music industry as we know it is going down the shitter.
ReplyDeleteI'm also curious as to how you have the authority to state the problem(s) with "people that are into music"?
And just to point it out Justin Beiber is not "Indy".
You should have read the first line of your post again before going any further.
